Xiaomi 13 Ultra: The Chinese Company Promises a Worldwide Debut

A more powerful variant of the Xiaomi 13 Pro was released yesterday: the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra now only sells in China at a starting price of CNY 5,999 ($872). Xiaomi, however, has recently dropped hints about a possible international rollout for the product.

In yesterday’s announcement event, Xiaomi may have acknowledged the Xiaomi 13 Ultra on its global social media channels, but the company has not yet announced a release date for the device. Instead, the company has hinted that it cannot “wait for everyone to experience” the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and its “incredible imaging experience.” Xiaomi also mentioned the Smart Band 8, Pad 6, Pad 6 Pro, and a new TV Master unit during its worldwide press event.

Also, Xiaomi hasn’t given any hints that these four devices would be available internationally. Recent FCC certification, however, signals the Pad 6 will be sold outside of China.

Xiaomi’s fitness trackers are also widely available on the international market. Xiaomi has announced that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be available in “various international markets in the next few months,” but this information is buried deep within the press release.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is now exclusively available through import from secondary markets. TradingShenzhen and similar retailers now list the base model at €1,077 (which includes 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage). Other options include a 512 GB model for €1,117 and a 1 TB model for €1,277; all come with 16 GB of RAM. Please be aware that LTE Band 20 functionality is not included in Chinese models.
