Late NCP leader Baba Siddique was highly lauded for his friendly nature. The warmth with which he used to meet people, is known to leave a lasting impression. In Bollywoodhe was often called the peacemaker, as he was responsible for ending the long-running feud between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan with a mere hug.
One and all appreciated Baba Siddique’s role in bringing together Salman and Shah Rukh.There were also many instances when people joked about the incident on a lighter note. Like, a couple of years ago when Shah Rukh Khan was in a fun conversation with AIB, he was asked if he feared passing through Bandra, thinking Baba Siddique might end up hugging up.
Replying to the question in his humorous nature, Shah Rukh Khan said, “I have to tell you this, that Baba Siddique is my friend, and I regularly meet him for the hugs. I don’t want to be accosted or taken by surprise, so I plan it! I plan it on Eid. I am always there, and nights during Ramzan. I want to tell you that Baba Siddique’s hugs are the best when planned.”
Jokes aside, no one can deny that Baba Siddiqui’s warmth could end any feud. He was gifted with the skill to bring people together. Though today the veteran politician is no more, his kindheartedness and the bonds he created, will never let his memories erase.
Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 13, outside his son Zeeshan’s office in Mumbai. He suffered bullet injuries when rushed to Lilavati Hospital following the attack. Unfortunately, he was declared dead and as the news of his demise broke, Bollywood stars including Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra, and many others rushed to hospital.
The investigation under the Mumbai Crime Branch is in progress. Reportedly, three men accused in the case have been nabbed so far.
Meanwhile, the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang has taken responsibility for the murder of Baba Siddique. Sharing a social media post, the Bishnoi gang wrote that they targeted the politician because of his connections to Bollywood and alleged ties to the underworld. Probe into the authenticity of the post is all being undertaken by the authorities.
