Varun Dhawan recently opened up about a terrifying fan encounter and other unsettling experiences during a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on YouTube. The actor revealed how a fan, catfished by someone impersonating him, entered his home uninvited, leading to police intervention.
Varun recounted the chilling incident, stating, “A woman, who was the wife of a very powerful man, had been catfished by someone using my name. She believed we had a connection and that I was going to leave my family for her. She knew everything about my house and came with someone else. It turned into a serious family issue. Female constables were brought in to handle the situation.”
The star also shared other uncomfortable fan interactions, including an incident where fans camped on a beach near his home for days, requiring police assistance. Varun admitted to feeling violated when a fan forcibly kissed him and recalled being pinched inappropriately by fans in the past.
On the work front, Varun is gearing up for the release of Baby John, an official remake of the Tamil blockbuster Theri starring Vijay. Directed by Kalees, the action-drama explores the journey of a DCP who reinvents his life to protect his family. The film, featuring an ensemble cast including Jackie Shroff, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa SouthSanya Malhotra, and Rajpal Yadavis set to hit theatres on December 25.
