Sushmita Sen recently graced a Durga Puja pandal in Mumbai, accompanied by her friend Rohman Shawl and her daughter Alisah Sen. The event marked her annual tradition of celebrating this significant festival, and she was seen wearing a vibrant printed green top that radiated her unique style.
Upon arriving at the pandal, Sushmita’s reverence was evident as she knelt before the idol of Goddess Durga, bowing deeply in a gesture of respect and devotion.This heartfelt moment was complemented by her greeting the priest, who reciprocated with a warm wave. As she exited the venue, Sushmita took time to engage with several needy women and children outside, promising to return to support them. Rohman Shawl was by her side throughout, escorting her back to their car after this meaningful interaction.
Sushmita and Rohman were dating for a while, but they announced that while their relationship has ended, friendship remains. As Rohman and Sushmita are often spotted together, it sparks rumours that they have reconciled their relationship. However, recently, on Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast, Sushmita revealed that she’s been single for over three years now.
The Durga Puja celebrations in Mumbai attracted numerous celebrities, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with reunions and joyful encounters. Notably, Kajol shared a delightful moment with her cousin Rani Mukerjiboth dressed in traditional attire. Their bond was further highlighted by their shared history in Karan Johar’s iconic film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ from 1998. The festive spirit of Durga Puja not only brings together families but also serves as an occasion for celebrities to reconnect and celebrate their cultural roots.
Kajol’s day was filled with warmth as she also reunited with veteran actress Jaya Bachchan. The two embraced affectionately, reminiscent of their collaborative work in Karan Johar’s family drama ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,’ released in 2001. Rani Mukerji also enjoyed her share of nostalgic moments, posing for photos with Ranbir Kapoor, who starred alongside her in ‘Saawariya,’ his debut film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
On the work front, Sushmita Sen was last seen in third ‘Aarya,’ a crime thriller series directed by Ram Madhvani. In this gripping narrative, Sushmita portrays a Jaipur homemaker who is thrust into the dangerous world of crime following the assassination of her husband Tej (Chandrachur Singh).
