Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya are officially married. The couple tied the knot today in Hyderabad after surprising fans with an intimate engagement in August. The first pictures from the ceremony show Sobhita looking radiant in a traditional gold South Indian outfit, while Naga Chaitanya made a dashing groom in beige.
Ahead of the wedding, Sobhita opened up about her engagement and approach to relationships in an interview with Galatta India. Reflecting on her engagement, she said, “When beautiful things happen, I don’t feel the need of embellishment. That moment itself fills me. I didn’t feel like it was simple or anything. It was what it was meant to be, and it was perfect.”
Sobhita also shared her thoughts on motherhood, saying, “I always wanted to feel the motherhood experience. I was very clear about it. I always saw myself getting married.”
When discussing relationships, Sobhita emphasized the importance of humor. “For me, it’s humour. Moments of lightness. I think it is what that binds it (relationship) together,” she said.

On dealbreakers, Sobhita had a thoughtful response, “I have no dealbreakers. I don’t think I can look at a relationship of any kind that if I have these things, then it is approved, or if there are not these particular things, then rejected. It’s not my approach to end something if someone does something or tells something. There could be some days when I will be completely thrown off by certain things, but I don’t think I will go into it like judgement.”
This is Sobhita’s first marriage, while Naga Chaitanya was previously married to Telugu superstar Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The former couple announced their separation in 2021 and finalized their divorce in 2022.
The wedding was a celebration of heritage and culture. Naga Chaitanya honored his late grandfather, legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Raoby wearing a Pancha, a traditional Andhra Pradesh dhoti, reflecting his grandfather’s iconic style. Sobhita, too, embraced her family’s legacy in her attire.
The couple followed Telugu Brahmin traditions for the wedding rituals, ensuring every cultural aspect was thoughtfully honored. It was a perfect blend of tradition and love, with every detail reflecting their deep respect for their roots.
