Screen size, battery life, and more details about the upcoming Pixel tablet have leaked online
An early Amazon listing for the Pixel Tablet has been withdrawn, but the date of its debut in Japan, June 20th, and a number of other critical specifications have been revealed as a result of this leak.
The full Pixel Tablet listing, including the release date and multiple pictures of the gadget in porcelain (beige back with white bezel) and hazel (green/black), was briefly up on Amazon Japan, as evidenced by a screenshot (via Reddit).
An April leak suggested that the Pixel Tablet will cost €600–650 ($657–$711) in Europe; however, the current price tag puts it at 79,800 (or $591). The “up to 12 hours of video streaming” with the “27 Wh built-in battery” is a selling point.
We earlier reported that the Tensor G2 would ship with 8GB of RAM (LPDDR5), and a local site and some Twitter users were able to view the listing before it was taken down. We also knew that 256GB would be one of the two storage capacities available.
The Pixel Tablet also features a 10.95-inch, 2560 x 1600 LCD with 500 nits of brightness, according to the product page. In addition to its 8MP front and rear cameras, 3MP microphones, “quad speaker,” Bluetooth 5.2, and Ultrawide Band (UWB), the Pixel Tablet has been validated by the FCC to have these same features.
If the Pixel Tablet is coming in June and the Pixel 7a is anticipated to be released next week, Google appears to be taking a staggered approach to its next hardware announcements. This is supported by the fact that, unlike the midrange phone, the huge-screen handset isn’t leaking at retail outlets. The Pixel Fold may or may not debut alongside the tablet.
