The Kapoor family met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday to invite him to the Raj Kapoor Film Festival, which celebrates the actor’s 100th birth anniversary. The festival will begin on December 13.
A video from the meeting, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khanand other family members, was shared online, where they spoke about their interaction with the Prime Minister.
In the video, Ranbir Kapoor admitted that while they were all quite nervous about meeting the PM, his warm and generous demeanor put them at ease. “We enjoyed speaking to him. We could ask him a lot of personal questions. He talked to us in a very friendly manner. Hum sab ki hawa tight thi, we were very nervous, but he made us feel very comfortable, and I really thank him,” he said.Kareena Kapoor also shared that meeting PM Modi was a long-time dream, and she was thrilled to fulfill it during her grandfather Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary celebrations. She praised his positive and peaceful energy, calling him a true global leader.
Alia Bhatt also admired Modi’s energy and noted his thoughtful suggestions on how to continue Raj Kapoor’s legacy and educate people about his achievements, calling the experience a proud moment for the Kapoor family.
Saif Ali Khan expressed his gratitude for meeting the nation’s leader, Prime Minister Modi, and shared that he received a valuable suggestion to make a documentary on Raj Kapoor’s influence in Central and Eastern Europe. Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also shared her heartfelt experience, saying that meeting Modi made her feel like he was part of their family and calling the encounter a significant milestone in her life.
