Meenakshi Seshadri recalls shooting for a romantic rain song while having diarrhea: 'Almost 50-100 people were using the same restroom'

Meenakshi Seshadri recently reminisced about a time when on-set restroom facilities were scarce. She recalled how Poonam Dhillon became a trendsetter by bringing her own vanity van to set, a luxury that was still rare. By then, however, Meenakshi was already preparing to exit the industry, leaving behind those challenging conditions.
On Kabir Vani’s YouTube channel, Meenakshi described the difficult sanitation conditions on film sets in earlier times. Often, a single restroom was shared by 50 to 100 people, with no separate facilities for men and women. She recalled managing with elaborate costumes in unclean settings, highlighting the lack of hygiene standards on set.

The veteran actress recalled one of her toughest experiences on set, where she had to film a romantic rain song while dealing with a bout of diarrhea. Despite the challenging situation, she had to continue with the shoot, highlighting the difficulties actors sometimes face while managing personal discomfort during intense scenes.

Jaya Bachchan had earlier shared a challenging experience from her earlier outdoor shoots, where female actors lacked proper facilities. She recalled changing sanitary pads behind bushes due to the absence of restrooms and dealing with limited toilets. The process was awkward and uncomfortable, with actors using plastic bags to dispose of the pads discreetly.
