Kareena Kapoor Khan credits husband Saif Ali Khan and mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore for supporting her career and family life

Kareena Kapoor Khan has always nailed it in her personal and professional life with her remarkable choices. She has shared that she loves being a mother to her sons, Taimur and Jehangir. Kareena also mentioned that her husband, Saif Ali Khanfully supported her decision to have a family and continue her acting career, as she didn’t want to give up on anything.
In her 2021 book Pregnancy BibleBebo opened up about her personal life, sharing her experiences of balancing motherhood and acting.She expressed her deep love for both being a mother and her acting career. The actress revealed that she never intended to give up on anything, and she thought carefully before deciding to start a family.
Kareena once shared that she was worried about how people would see her after becoming a mother, but Saif reassured her that she could manage both her family and career. She mentioned that they have built a strong relationship, which she believes will always support their children. Kareena also hopes that their younger son, Jeh, will grow up as confident as Taimur because of their parenting.
She further said that her mother in law Sharmila Tagore advised her in the book. Tagore told her to do whatever she wanted but with confidence. Kareena called her a ‘real inspiration’ and admired how Sharmila continued acting even after marriage and having kids, which inspired Kareena in balancing her own career and family.
She also mentioned that her mother was a strong role model for her. She revealed that her parents encouraged her to continue acting even after starting a family.
“So I thought, what the heck! I plunged headlong into not one but two pregnancies and I now have these two tots in my life who make every day feel a little crazy, a little special, a little exhausting, and a little rewarding,” Kareena further wrote.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor married Saif Ali Khan on October 16, 2012. They welcomed their first child, Taimur, in 2016, followed by their second son, Jeh, in 2021.
On the work front, the diva will be seen next in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’, starring Ajay Devgn, which is set to be released on Diwali 2024.
