Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' makers to make changes to film; near hearing at High Court on THIS date

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved Kangana Ranaut‘s ‘Emergency’ with a U/A certificate but has ordered approximately 13 cuts to the film.
Now, as per the latest report by News 18, the producers of Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency have decided to implement the changes recommended by the Revising Committee.
At the hearing on Monday, the lawyer representing Zee Studios informed the Bombay High Court that the filmmakers had agreed to the revisions proposed by the committee.
The report further stated that the producers had submitted a format outlining the implementation of the changes suggested by the CBFC, which is now awaiting the board’s response. The next hearing on the matter is scheduled for Thursday, October 3. Emergency was initially slated for release last month, but the film’s launch has been delayed due to issues with certification.
Meanwhile, Kangana also revealed that she had to sell her property in Mumbai after the film’s release was postponed due to a delay in obtaining the censor certificate. Her Bandra bungalow was sold for Rs 32 crore. She had bought the property for Rs 20.7 crore in 2017.
Recently, Kangana Ranaut expressed her disappointment over the delayed release of Emergency. Taking to X, she called the CBFC’s decision to withhold the film’s certification ‘illegal.” Reacting to the Bombay High Court’s ruling on the delay in the clearance of her film, she shared a post from Live Law, writing, “The High Court has reprimanded the censor board for illegally withholding the certificate of #Emergency.”

The film was originally scheduled to be released on September 6 but was postponed after protests. The cast also stars Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, and the late Satish Kaushik.
