Director Shiboprosad Mukherjee has revealed that he and Nandita Roy produced Brahma Janen Gopon Kommotia film about a woman priest that featured in the Indian Panorama at the 51st International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Now, three years later, they are excited to present their latest directorial venture, Aamar Bosswhich has also been selected for the Indian Panorama at the 55th IFFI.
This upcoming film marks the return of the legendary Rakhee Gulzar to the screen, where she takes charge of a corporate office. Although she has shot for a Bengali film titled Nirban, Aamar Boss will be her first theatrical release since Rituparno Ghosh’s Subho Mahurat in 2003. Mukherjee expressed his thrill at sharing screen space with the iconic actress in this project.
“Personally, it’s a thrill for me to share screen space with her in this project. Rakhi Gulzar will be attending the festival in Goa this November, and we eagerly anticipate this wonderful experience,” Mukherjee told ETimes.

25 feature films and 20 non-feature films to be showcased in the 55th edition of IFFI to be held in Goa from November 20 to 28. A package of 20 non-feature films will be screened in the Indian Panorama selected from a spectrum of 262 films. The package of non-feature films exemplifies the capacity of emerging and established filmmakers to document, investigate, entertain and also reflect contemporary Indian values. The Jury’s choice for the opening film in the non-feature category is ‘Ghar Jaisa Kuch (Ladakhi)’, directed by Harsh Sangani.

While Randeep Hooda's Swatantrya Veer Savarkar will open the festival, director Aditya Suhas Jambhale's Article 370, starring Yami Gautam, Priyamani, and Arun Govil, has also been selected for the Indian Panorama 2024. Also among the 25 feature films to be screened are Rajkummar Rao's Srikanth, directed by Tushar Hiranandani. ; Navjyot Narendra Bandiwadekar's Marathi directorial Gharat Ganpati; and Nikhil Mahajan's Raavsaaheb.
