In China, the market for foldable phones is dominated by Oppo rather than Huawei
In a stunning turn of events, Oppo has surpassed Huawei as China’s most popular foldable phone manufacturer in the first three months of 2019. Huawei had dominated the foldable phone market for an entire year prior to this.
With 35% of the market, Oppo ranks top, according to IDC. This
development can be traced back to the Find N2 phone, which has a flip design.
The company has allegedly made a breakthrough in the market for flip-style devices by including a sizable display on the device’s cover. This appears to be the case, as Huawei has announced plans for a comparable upgrade later this year.
In the first quarter of 2023, Huawei’s market share dropped to 24.9%, putting the Chinese tech company in second place. Sales of Huawei’s newest and older models, such as the Mate Xs 2, continue to drive the company’s expansion.
Samsung is still in third place, accounting for 18.4% of the market. The next three spots are taken by Honor, Xiaomi, and Vivo, respectively.
The product’s market share breaks down to 10.5%, 5.6%, and 4.5%.
In reference to the Huawei Mate X3,
Yes, people are always looking for fresh ways to get their hands on foldable smartphones. Huawei has responded to consumer desire for a foldable phone by releasing the Huawei Mate X3, which is both the world’s most elegant and lightest.
It’s been updated in a number of ways that make it not just a fashionable gadget but also a novel side-folding one. While Oppo certainly deserves credit for this, we anticipate that the Huawei Mate X3 will soon climb the charts and cement Huawei’s position as the leading foldable phone manufacturer in China.
