When flying overseas, it’s often the attention to details that can turn a flight into something really special. As Germany’s national airline carrier, Lufthansa provides excellent customer service to all classes, but especially to First Class and Business passengers.
It begins with a convenient check-in option on the Lufthansa app and website, of up to 30 hours instead of 24 hours before departure.
Those starting their journey at LAX, will receive a designated check-in and priority baggage lane. Lufthansa welcomes First Class and Business Class passengers to relax in the Star Alliance Lounge, after passing through security. Stay up to date on your flight schedule from the dedicated staff at the lounge reception area. They will happily deal with requests you might have regarding your flight.

Step up to the bar or make your own cocktail at a self-service bar. There are a variety of wines for a generous pour and bottles of beer in a refrigerator below.
The exclusive lounge offers various comfort zones to match one’s mood. Benches are available for a quick sit-down meal or drink. There are comfortable seats at tables for those seeking a more leisurely meal experience and an outdoor bar and lounge by fire pits for those seeking fresh air and watching the airplanes fly overhead while taking off and landing.

Both Lufthansa First and Business class cabins feature an open design with soft and soothing shades of color. The extra-wide spaciousness of the seats easily convert into a fully flat bed. Upgraded bedding includes a seat pad, comforter, nightshirt and pillows. An amenity bag is filled with earplugs, a sleeping mask, lip balm and skin lotion, a toothbrush and toothpaste to enhance one’s comfort and aid in sleeping well.
The difference between a Lufthansa First Class and Business Class seat is aisle access. In the Business Class, passengers do not have the same access to restrooms. Only First Class passengers have use of these bathrooms, as well as access to the First Class lounge and services.

Nothing distinguishes the food culture of Germany as much as their bread. There are over 300 varieties, and German bread has been recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The menu of fresh baked goods provides passengers different tastes. Schmitt grew up in a family of bakers, and is known as a ‘bread sommelier.’ He knows the importances of artisanship and the love needed to make award-winning breads.
After finishing his apprenticeship as a master baker and confectioner, he took over his family bakery, and has a baking show on television. He is regarded as the official baker at Wacken Open Air music festival, and is a sought-after keynote speaker enlightening fans about the rising bread culture.
