Diljit Dosanjh talks about tweaking his songs after Telangana Government's notice; says he doesn't advertise alcohol like Bollywood stars do

Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh has recently made headlines after receiving a legal notice from the Telangana government. The notice warned him not to perform songs promoting alcoholdrugs, or violence during his upcoming concert in Hyderabad.
During his concert in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Diljit Dosanjh addressed the legal issue surrounding his performances. He shared that he hadn’t received any notice that day but assured his audience that, out of respect for Gujarat’s dry state laws, he would refrain from singing songs related to alcohol during the performance.
Diljit also addressed the ongoing controversy by clarifying that while Bollywood features numerous songs about alcohol, only a few of his tracks reference it. He also took a jibe at Bollywood celebrities, pointing out that unlike them, he doesn’t endorse or advertise alcohol.

During a live performancehe altered the lyrics of his song to avoid promoting alcohol, drugs, or violence. The singer’s quick thinking turned the potential controversy into a viral moment, further engaging his audience.

Today, Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh reacted to the Telangana government stopping him from singing songs about alcohol and violence. At the concert, Diljit took a jibe at the warning. “When artists come here from other countries, they are allowed to do whatever they want… But when an artist from your own country is singing, people have problems,” Diljit said. A video of the same is now going viral. Concert attendees also shared videos in which Diljit was seen singing the songs on the themes but with a few tweaks.

Diljit Dosanjh's Dil-Luminati tour in India is set to visit 10 cities, including Mumbai, Kolkata, Indore, Pune, and Guwahati. The tour kicked off with a grand show in Delhi, followed by Jaipur. The Delhi concert attracted a crowd of over 35,000 attendees on a single day.
