Yes, you read that right! The lease agreement, registered on September 28, 2021, spans 15 years and includes a 25 per cent rental escalation every five years. This means that by the end of five years, the rent will increase to Rs 23.6 lakh per month, and after ten years, it will go up to Rs 29.5 lakh. To seal the deal, SBI has already paid a deposit of Rs 2.26 crore, equivalent to one year’s rent.
The leased property, located next to Jalsa – the Bachchan family’s current residence – spreads across 3,150 sq. ft., making it a prime commercial spot.
On the work front, Abhishek recently appeared in I Want to Talk, directed by Shoojit Sircar, which hit screens on November 22. He is now gearing up for the release of Housefull 5, where he stars alongside Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and others. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is set to release on June 6, 2025.
