'Devara' box office collection day 10: The Jr NTR film sees 30 percent growth on Sunday despite Navratri festivities, inches towards Rs 250 crore in India

The Jr NTRJanhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Devara Part 1‘, had released on September 27. As the movie completed its 10-day run at the box office, it has an impressive run, despite the fact that it did see lots of ups and downs so far. After making single digit numbers on Thursday and Friday, the movie saw a growth over the weekend which is a great sign.
‘Devara’ had made Rs 7.25 crore and around Rs 6 crore on Thursday and Friday respectively. On Saturday, it saw a growth and made Rs 9.25 crore. Now on Sunday which is day 10, the movie made around Rs 12.25 crore according to Sacnilk. This is a growth of around 30 percent Out of this, around Rs 8 crore came from the Telugu verion while Rs 3.75 crore came from the Hindi version. The rest has come from the Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada version combined.
This number and growth over the weekend is good, considering the fact Navratri is going on and the ‘Garba’ fever has stolen the show.
The film’s total so far after ten days is Rs 243 crore in India. If the Monday numbers are good, it will cross the Rs 250 mark soon. There’s not been any major competition for the film, except for ‘Joker’ which also released last week. The movie still has good amount of time till Diwali, before the release of ‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
