Ananya Blacksmith is currently basking in the success of her latest release ‘CTRL’, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. The actress was recently on a promotional spree, and she opened up about how the paparazzi culture, at times, is upsetting.
“I am fine with them. But I don’t like that Picche dekho, and turn around. I hate those. When they come from behind angles, and then they’re like, guess who and all of that stuff. Its really not nice,” Ananya Panday said in a conversation with Netflix India.
She also recalled the time when she had stepped out of the gym, and was exhausted, however, the paparazzi mistook it for breakup sorrow. “When I was leaving the gym, recently, they were like ‘Oh look she is so sad. This must have happened in her life. Break up ho gaya (She is going through a breakup)’ and I’m like ‘firstly you lift 170 kgs and do deadlifts then you’ll see’. Everyone’s sad at the gym dude. Like who’s not sad at the gym?” Ananya said.
She added, “I just came out of the gym. I am exhausted. Give me a minute.”
Meanwhile, Ananya Panday starrer ‘CTRL’, a cyber thriller, is currently streaming on Netflix. The film is receiving great reviews from the audience as well as critics.
ETimes rated the film 3 out of 5 and the review reads, “We’re all aware of the risks of excessive screen time and seeking validation on social media. Writer-director Vikramaditya Motwane’s film takes it a step further, exposing the unsettling consequences of letting AI into our personal space, primarily since it’s controlled by humans. Ananya Pandey gives a decent performance as Nalini ‘Nella’ Awasthi. From the cutesy college student to a diva and how her life eventually shapes up, the actress pulls off the gamut of her role well.”
