Arjun Kapoorwho worked as an assistant director on Nikhil Advani’s Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), recently opened up about his admiration for Shah Rukh Khandescribing the superstar’s brilliance, empathy, and larger-than-life personality.
Speaking on Raj Shamani’s podcast, Arjun shared his thoughts about Shah Rukh’s exceptional qualities during the film’s production. “Some people are touched by God. Some people are just personalities that are larger than life and transcend generations. Mujhe lagta hai unko jo dimaag mila hai wo adbhut hai. Wo AI se bhi aage hai. (I feel like his brain is amazing. He is ahead of AI),” he said. Arjun emphasized Shah Rukh’s unmatched ability to process and understand situations with compassion and precision, all while exuding effortless charm.
Arjun also highlighted Shah Rukh’s attentiveness, explaining that he fully immerses himself in conversations yet remains acutely aware of his surroundings. Reflecting on Shah Rukh’s life journey, Arjun remarked how the loss of his parents shaped his profound empathy and understanding of life. “There is a quest to be better, bigger, broaden his horizons,” Arjun added, praising Shah Rukh’s continuous drive for growth. “He has made the most of the gift that he has been given. He is a genius.”
What stood out most for Arjun was Shah Rukh’s ability to make everyone feel special despite his towering stardom. “If I message him today, his reply will surely come. No matter how busy he is. He will make sure he replies,” Arjun revealed. He described Shah Rukh’s aura as something unique and almost indescribable. “There is an aura around him,” Arjun said, applauding Shah Rukh’s remarkable balance of immense fame and heartfelt warmth, which makes him truly one of a kind.
