The video of their dynamic performance, shared by paparazzi, quickly went viral. Fans flooded the comment section with heart emojis, celebrating the actor’s infectious energy. The song, which has become one of the year’s most loved dance tracks, has garnered widespread appreciation, including praise from Bollywood heavyweights Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan.
Salman Khan took to Instagram to applaud Vicky’s performance, sharing a snippet of his dance and writing, “Great moves Vicky, song looking good. Best wishes, Vicky Kaushal.” The heartfelt gesture prompted Vicky to respond, “So sweet of you, Salman sir!!! Thank you so much… this means so much to me and the whole team!”
Hrithik Roshan also joined the chorus of praise, commenting on a clip of the song, “Well done man… Love the style.” A visibly emotional Vicky replied, “@hrithikroshan I think you do have an idea as to what this means to me Sir!!!”
Meanwhile, netizens also shared their praises for the performance. One comment read, “Honey paji has arrived to take back control of his empire.” Another comment read, “Finally tauba tauba.”
Directed by Anand Tiwari, ‘Bad Newz’ is an exciting rom-com featuring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk in lead roles. The film’s music, particularly Tauba Tauba turned out to be a trending song even though the movie failed at the box office.
ETimes review for ‘Bad Newz’ reads, “Vicky Kaushal shines as the self-centred and loud Punjabi who eventually undergoes a satisfying character arc, learning to prioritise Saloni’s dreams. His impeccable comedic timing and energy are matched by Ammy Virk, who holds his own as Gurbir, the other more polished father figure in the chaotic equation. The best scenes are between the duo and their strong chemistry enables the comedy to roll out effectively. Triptii Dimri looks pretty and pulls off emotional scenes but struggles with comedy. With a hilarious premise and two funny men, this one’s a laugh riot. Even when the plot takes a familiar turn and stretches, the witty dialogues and spot-on comedic timing from the cast ensure you’re consistently entertained.”
