Recently, the world celebrated Dilip Kumar’s 102nd birth anniversary. The actor is a legend and will continue to be remembered eternally, much after his death. On the occasion of his birth anniversary, it has now been known that his bungalow is being redeveloped into a luxury residential project called ‘The Legend’.
This bungalow holds a significant place in his wife Saira Banu’s life and it’s only apt that it gains a heritage value over the years. The sales of the house has already crossed Rs 500 crore when it’s still 15months to go before it is launched. There surely would be a huge demand for this property owing to the fact that it holds such significance which cinema lovers and fans of the actor will appreciate; more so, because it will also have a museum that will be dedicated to the legendary actor.
While this luxury residential project is indeed quite expensive, Saira dropped a birthday post for Dilip Kumar on his anniversary and revealed how he would just randomly gift people his most expensive possessions. She wrote, “I would spare no effort in making his birthdays special. I would handpick fine cashmere sweaters, select elegant cufflinks, and choose exquisite watches for Sahib. Yet, much to my amusement, he would give them away without hesitation to anyone who admired them. At first, I couldn’t understand it. How could a man part so easily with things so precious? But soon, I realized that Dilip Sahib was so fulfilled and content within himself that no material possession could rival the treasures of his art, his family, and the love he gave and received.|
However, she mentioned that this quality exists not just in him, but most people who are considered iconic legends. “I’ve observed this in many iconic legends. They seem untouched by material desires, living so completely in their own being and their purpose. Dilip Sahib embodied this rare quality, a man so enriched by the intangible, so unaffected by worldly possessions. He inhabited a world of his own creation, where every action and every word carried meaning and purpose,” she said as she wished him, ‘Happy Birthday Yousuf Jaan’.
