Tanishaa Mukerji addresses reports of she doing a regional language project backed by Ajay Devgn: 'Just because we are a family...'

Tanishaa Mukerji recently opened up about the thought of she working in a project which is backed by her brother-in-law Ajay Devgn.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Tanishaa talked about working on regional language projects supported by her brother-in-law, Ajay Devgn. She shared that while her family always supports each other’s creative decisions, it doesn’t mean they have to work together on every project. She added that if an opportunity comes up in the future to collaborate, she’d be open to it.

Tanishaa, who has worked in South cinema, including Telugu’s Kantri and Tamil’s Unnale Unnaleshared her thoughts on regional language films not getting enough attention in Hindi-speaking areas. She said that while her answer might have been different 10 years ago, it’s not the case anymore. Thanks to OTT platforms, language is no longer a barrier. People in places like Uttar Pradesh can enjoy great South Indian content at their convenience with subtitles and dubbing. Today, audiences care more about good content than the language it’s in.

The actress believes that audiences are now enjoying “Indian” films regardless of language. A well-made Bengali film can find an audience in Maharashtra, and vice versa. She feels that the days of worrying about language barriers are over. While producers and distributors may see things differently, for actors, language is no longer an obstacle.
Ajay Devgn had previously produced the Marathi film Aapla Manus, starring Nana Patekar. On the work front, he will next be seen in Azaad, Raid 2, De De Pyaar De 2, and Son of Sardaar 2.
