Ananya Blacksmith recently mentioned that she advised her father, Chunky Panday, not to give her film recommendations following the disappointment of ‘Liger’, suggesting he may have played a role in her decision to take on the 2022 film with Vijay Deverakonda. She also humorously recommended that he delete his Instagram account to steer clear of trouble from his random likes.
The duo recently appeared on the show ‘Be A Parent Yaar’, where they had a candid conversation. Ananya asked Chunky if he thought she was a good actor, to which he jokingly replied, “At home or on screen?” He also teased her about being careful in reading scripts before accepting roles. Ananya playfully responded, “You’re not allowed to give me advice after Liger,” referencing the film’s disappointing reception.
During a light-hearted conversation, Ananya advised her father to delete his Instagram account. She expressed concern over his habit of randomly liking posts without reading them, saying, “You on Instagram needs to be deleted because you just keep liking anything without reading it and getting them into more trouble.” Chunky humorously defended himself, replying, “I just keep liking wherever I see your photograph.”
They also talk about nepotism in Bollywood, Chunky asked Ananya if she felt lucky to be his daughter. Ananya honestly replied that while nepotism has a negative reputation, she is proud to be known as his daughter and wouldn’t want it any other way.
On the work front, Chunky is set to appear in ‘Housefull 5’, where he will reprise his iconic role as Aakhri Pasta. The film is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025, and boasts a star-studded cast that includes Akshay Kumar and Jacqueline Fernandez. Meanwhile, Ananya Panday has enjoyed a successful year with her show ‘Call Me Bae’ and the Netflix film ‘Ctrl’, both of which have garnered positive reviews from viewers.
