An explosion as taken place near a bar in Chandigarh’s sector 26 and this bar is reportedly owned by rapper Badshah. The bom explosion happened outside De’orra which is near the Sevillee bar and lounge which is owned by Badshah. Both these restaurants are just 30 metres away from each other.
According to the police officials, two suspects on a motorcycle threw a low-intensity explosive at a private club between 2:30 to 2:45 am on Tuesday. According to the police, no casualties were reported and the blash shattered several window paners and caused structural damange. Thus, the club which was near by, also suffered minor damange.
On getting this information, the Chandigarh police reached the spot and has started investigation to ascertain the identity of the perpetrators. The bomb detection squad and the Chandigarh Forensic Science Laboratory also arrived at the scene to collect the samples.
“We received information in the control room that someone here had a personal issue. When the investigating officer arrived at the spot, he found broken glass. The case is still at a preliminary stage and the forensic team is collecting evidence. We received the complaint at 3:25 am,” deputy superintendent of police, Dilbagh Singh Dhaliwal told reporters.
According to India Today, this may be a crude bomb thrown for extortion and these are believed to be homemade bombs. The police has not called it a cude bomb attack.
