At the Global Freight Summit in Dubai, Shah Rukh reflected on his journey, emphasising that his success is the outcome of collective efforts rather than his individual endeavors.Coming from a poor, lower-middle-class family in India, he remains deeply rooted in gratitude and respect for the opportunities and support he received. He acknowledged the significant contributions of those around him, both in his cinematic career and personal life, which have shaped the person he is today.

He stated that his approach to philanthropy is not driven by a desire to “give back” but rather by gratitude and respect for the support he has received throughout his life. Shah Rukh Khan emphasized that his fame and fortune are not his alone, underscoring the collective effort and mutual love behind his success. He acknowledged the privilege of being “the chosen one” and stressed the importance of sharing his good fortune with those who contributed to his journey.
He elaborated on the idea that success is a two-way street, saying, “I’ll be stupid to think all of this that has happened to me, including standing on the railing outside my house, is only because of me.”
Shah Rukh Khan expressed his wish to share his success with others, highlighting the importance of providing opportunities similar to those he received as a lower-middle-class boy from Delhi with no money. He views philanthropy as a way to extend the chances he was given, helping others transform their lives through the privileges he has been fortunate enough to attain.
