‘Kara Arjun,’ is not just a movie name, it is a cult classic that made its name in the golden pages of Indian cinema. The movie recently was re-released in theatre and it has been doing good business. While the movie is being celebrated all around, Bollywood’s Greek God Hrithik Roshan has also taken to his social media handle to share some rare pics and anecdotes from ‘Karan Arjun.’
Hrithik was only 17 years old when he assisted his father Rakesh Roshan in the making of ‘Karan Arjun.’ Walking down the memory lane Hrithik shared his excitement as a new boy on the set and learning from beautiful lessons from Salman and Shah Rukh.

At the same time, he revealed that once he jumped on Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s car’s bonnet to stop them from leaving the shooting sets. The stars were planning to go to Delhi and promised Hrithik that they would return by the next morning, but the young lad didn’t want them to leave. He knew SRK and Bhaijaan would be late and he didn’t want his father to lose a day.
Here’s everything that Hrithik shared: “The Karan Arjun experience. Ha, I look like a young Kabir with Karan and Arjun. As an assistant, I remember minerva being the main theatre on release day. Me and dad’s other assistant Anurag ( 2nd pic in the white sweatshirt)), screened the print before the release and we were all incredibly disappointed . The print looked dark and dull. We got the the entire screen washed and as the dirt and grime dissolved into the large washcloth, we heard the manager say “ आज १५ सालों के बाद यह स्क्रीन धुली है. Another fun fact , during the song bhangda paale, one late night, a more than merry team of Shahrukh and Salman decided to leave Sariska by car and drive to delhi promising to be back by morning.I was flabbergasted and jumped ( literally ) on the bonnet of the car to stop them. The call time was 6am and I had to make sure my dad doesn’t lose the day. He didn’t. Watching Salman and Shahrukh act was a huge learning for me as a 17yr old. Best on set practical acting school ever. KARAN ARJUN is running in theatres again.”
It’s been almost three decades since the release of ‘Karan Arjun.’ It was the first collaboration of Salman and Shah Rukh. The movie also featured Johnny Lever, Amrish Puri, and Rakhee Gulzar in important roles.
