Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput have reportedly rented out their luxurious apartment in Mumbai’s upscale Worli area for a monthly rent of Rs. 20 lakh.
The high-profile couple’s property, located in Oberoi Realty’s prestigious project, Three Sixty West, covers a sprawling 5,395 sq ft and was recently leased to Dipan Bhuptani, a senior executive at D’Decor Home Fabrics. The lease agreement, registered on November 7, 2024, is set for a five-year term with an initial security deposit of Rs. 1.23 crore.
According to a report by Hindustan Times, based on property documents from SquareYards, the apartment includes three car parking spaces and follows a structured rental model.
Starting at Rs. 20.5 lakh per month, the rent will incrementally rise, reaching Rs. 23.98 lakh by the fifth year. The lease also offers a rent-free period for the first 10 months, adding further value to the arrangement. Notably, Shahid and Mira acquired the apartment from Chandak Realtors Pvt Ltd in May 2024 for nearly Rs. 60 crore.
This trend of Bollywood stars renting out high-end properties has become more common, with celebrities like Kartik Aaryan, Ranveer Singh, and Sajid Nadiadwala also entering the luxury rental market.
Married since 2015, Shahid and Mira are parents to two children, Misha and Zain, born in 2016 and 2018, respectively.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for his next project, ‘Deva’, directed by acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews.
