Vidya Balan recently shared a charming memory from her childhood, revealing that her first celebrity encounter was none other than the legendary Rishi Kapoor.
The ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 ‘ star recalled the moment during an interview with Instant Bollywooddescribing her astonishment when she unexpectedly ran into Kapoor at a public event as a young girl.
Vidya shared that she was dashing around at the event when she accidentally bumped into someone, only to look up and see Kapoor’s iconic face. She confessed that his rosy, pink cheeks left a lasting impression on her. “I bumped into someone and I thought I saw an apple,” she humorously recounted. “Then I looked up and his cheeks were pink.”
The comparison was endearing, as she admitted that the shock of the encounter was so great that she quickly ran away, unable to believe she had just come face-to-face with a celebrity.
Vidya further explained that she was just a “little kid” at the time, and Rishi Kapoor’s warm presence had an impact that stayed with her for years.
She further described her awe and disbelief, admitting that he was the first celebrity she ever met in person. The encounter has since become a fond memory, one that she recalls with affection and a touch of humor.
