Kareena Kapoor Khan recently revealed to the world her choice of how she would like to be remembered for work that transcended borders.
While speaking at the NDTV World Summit, the actress was asked which was the most memorable cross-border project she had done. Point-blank and without much thinking, Kareena went on to mention working with Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh in the song Naina for the film Crew.
Bebo said, “I think the best collaboration has to be with Diljit Dosanjh. Kyunki hum Diljit ke bahut bade fan hain, woh toh sab jaante hain (I'm a huge fan of Diljit, and everyone knows that). She praised the singer. for taking Naina to the next level and taking Punjabi music globally on “global billboards”.
The actress praised Diljit in that regard for being dedicated to his roots and culture. The ‘Jab We Met‘ star said that the song Naina was special for her, and it was the standout international collaboration that she thinks she will cherish forever. Kareena admires the way Dosanjh maintains his pure Punjabi roots while succeeding so well internationally.
The mutual admiration between the two stars is no secret. Diljit Dosanjh has often professed his admiration for Kareena and their chemistry was visible, as they have even shared the stage when he performed at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding celebration. A light-hearted exchange with them went viral as Diljit jokingly told them, “Hoyegi Rihanna, hoyegi Beyoncé, saddi ta ae hi Rihanna, ae hi Beyoncé” while holding Kareena’s hand.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan was recently seen in the crime thriller ‘The Buckingham Murders.’ She will be also seen in the most awaited Rohit Shetty’s directorial ‘Singham Again‘. Although the trailer has received applause from the audiences and are expecting a good entertainer perfect during Diwali festivity.
