Leader of the Nationalist Congress Party Baba Siddique passed away after being shot numerous times in Bandra, Mumbai, on Saturday, October 12. The attack took place near the office of his son, Zeeshan Siddiquein Bandra East. Baba Siddique, who sustained gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen, was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in critical condition. Officials have arrested two suspects, with one from Uttar Pradesh and the other from Haryana, while a third remains at large.
Baba Siddique was known for his strong connections with Bollywood and his annual Iftar parties became famous for bringing together top actors, directors, and producers from the film industry.He once acted as a bridge between two of Bollywood’s biggest actors, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.
SRK and Salman share a close bond that has experienced its share of ups and downs over the years. Their friendship began in the 1990s, during the early stages of their careers in the Indian film industry. However, their relationship soured in 2008 after they went to Katrina Kaif’s birthday celebration in Mumbai. According to reports, Shah Rukh and Salman got into a heated argument and Katrina and Shah Rukh’s wife Gauri Khan had to step in to keep the actors from getting physical. It’s unclear what caused their disagreement, and they avoided each other in person after it happened.
At the famous annual Iftar party hosted by Baba Siddique in 2013, their cold war came to an end. Salman and Shah Rukh greeted and hugged one another there. The actors’ fans were moved when pictures and videos of their reunion quickly went viral.
Baba Siddique was praised for his ability to reignite their friendship after all these years. After the party, Salman reportedly left to begin filming ‘Bigg Boss Season 6’, while Shah Rukh had dinner with Salim Khan, Salman’s father.
Baba Siddique hosts an Iftar celebration in Mumbai every year, and a number of TV and Bollywood stars attend the bash. Shah Rukh was there at the 2022 dinner party, but Salman never missed an opportunity to attend with his family.
