70th National Film Awards 2024: Manoj Bajpayee bags his 4th honour, Rishab Shetty wins Best Actor, Sooraj Barjatya wins Best Director

President Droupadi Murmu presided over the 70th National Film Awards ceremony on October 8, 2024, at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi, honoring winners for their significant contributions to Indian cinema. A standout moment was the presentation of the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award to veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, celebrating his illustrious decades-long career.

President Murmu honored Rishab Shetty with the Best Actor award for Kantarawhile the Best Actress title was shared by Nithya Menen for Thiruchitrambalam and Manasi Parekh for Kutch Express. The award for Best Feature Film went to Aattam, and Gulmohar was recognized as the Best Hindi Film.
Throughout the ceremony, the President praised the rich diversity and accomplishments of Indian cinema across various languages and regions.
